The passing of a loved one is an emotionally stressful time, particularly when the death is unexpected, caused by tragic circumstances or that of a child. However, even when the passing is anticipated, many people still struggle to make decisions simply because life as you have known it has suddenly changed and can never be the same again.
The choice therefore, of a venue to say final farewells, is of the highest importance because, when everything starts to settle down no-one should feel that they had let their loved one down. After all, a funeral is the last loving thing you can do for someone you love. At Centenary Memorial Gardens we have drawn on the vast experience of our founders to design and construct a Chapel that serves as an uplifting venue and provides a memorable experience that aids families to grow through the process of grief and healing.
While nothing can take away the pain and sadness of the day you say goodbye, it is comforting to be able to look back in the months to come and say to yourself “Yes, it was a sad day, but I have some pleasant memories of the service in the Chapel and the time of friendship we spent in the refreshment lounge catching up with old friends.” The Federation Chapel serves all cultures, traditions and faiths, with commanding views of the surrounding hills and bushland; it is the centrepiece of our grounds. Up to 120 people can be accommodated on beautifully upholstered seats. The glass doors at the side of the chapel can be moved to allow standing room for up to a further 200 people. Designed with families in mind, the chapel is air-conditioned and finished with distinctive features.
The Federation Chapel provides a sound system for background music, public address system, provision for playing your own CD’s and DVD presentations on large LED screens using the latest touch screen technology. Temperature control and fine lighting changes can be made as desired. Following the funeral service you can begin to relax and spend time with family and friends in the Refreshment Lounge and Patio which is just a short stroll along the undercover walkway. Light non-alcoholic refreshments to compliment our range of catering options can be arranged through your funeral director.
