Standing prominently on a grassy slope overlooking
the lakes, the Banjo Paterson Columbarium Wall has been positioned
with care so as to allow the rays of the sun to rest on each side of
the wall every day so as to reduce the incidence of mildew so
frequently seen throughout Brisbane.
The use of sandstone on the wall provides a link
between the memorial gardens and the Federation Chapel. Wheelchair
access to the wall is via concrete paths and seats have been
positioned to allow visitors to see the wall as well as the lakes
There are two sizes and five styles of bronze plaque
available for the Banjo Paterson Wall. Plaques can be supplied with
borders depicting sculptured gum leaves, pansies, oak leaves,
centenary pansies and roses. All these options can be discussed with
one of the staff and sites can be pre-purchased.
