Centenary Memorial Gardens: a serene, tranquil setting nestled in the bushland reserve in Sumner’s gardens. Magnificent gum trees are prominent and offer a graceful frame to the tranquillity of the memorial gardens cemetery. Our office hours are 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday, and our grounds are open 7 days a week from sunrise to sunset.

Our centenary cemetery is located on the outskirts of Brisbane, approximately 15km from the city centre. With 40 acres surrounded by blossoming bushland and providing 17 different sections of thoughtfully landscaped gardens and lawns, our South Brisbane cemetery is unlike others.

The memorial park-style cemetery in Brisbane is also home to a crematorium and a Chapel — both burial and cremation services are available at Centenary Memorial Gardens. Also, grave plots and places to lay your cremated loved one are available in the beautiful gardens at our location in Brisbane. Our centenary crematorium in Sumner provides a number of inspiring options to place your loved one after the cremation, all with you and the person’s wishes in mind. We have a wide range of choices as we realise this is very important to you in these difficult times.

Centenary Memorial Gardens also assists families to design suitable headstones and gravestones in Brisbane, and particularly, memorial plaques that we can supply to honour your loved one.

Three Queensland families with a long history in funeral care established the Sumner cemetery in 2001. It was the first new cemetery to be established in the western suburbs since the Toowong cemetery some 149 years earlier. The Sumner memorial gardens takes a less traditional approach to the way the cemetery is arranged; we took a unique perspective and have created a beautiful, serene setting to place your loved one to rest. Different areas were created within the acreage to provide grounds that offer a number of options to suit you and your loved one's preferences.

Being relatively new, the memorial gardens in Brisbane offers a less traditional perspective from the regimented layout of older cemeteries. Gone are the rows and rows of plots, and instead, serenely arranged, beautifully landscaped sections offering a real sense of peace and comfort can be found on our grounds. Located near Wacol and Goodna, our cemetery is certainly a welcome reprieve from the busyness of the inner suburbs.
